A Manufacturing Fabrication Specialist (TL) position in the Space Exploration Division to support Space Shuttle, International Space Station, and other company programs is now open.
  • The successful candidate will be required to perform precision assembly pertaining to aerospace development, mock-up, qualification, and flight hardware. Products produced will range from simple to challenging requiring close tolerances.
  • The majority of the jobs will require limited number of similar parts, so the individual must able to adjust to a constantly changing product line.
  • In addition to the assembly of traditional hardware, the candidate will also be required to set up and operate sewing machines in the fabrication and assembly of material. Plan sequence of operations by determining order in which parts should be sewed. Set up machine by installing needles, spools of thread and bobbins and thread machines. Adjust length of stitch and tension of thread. Operate machine to sew assemblies composed of such materials as fabrics, leather, straps, rope, buckles, and zippers.
  • Additionally, the team member will be required to perform cleanup and administrative functions as required to support daily activities.
